The things which go on my mind when I suffer a throat infection.
So, after my sister’s wedding concluded, I came down with a bad case of throat infection. My voice was so scratchy, and I couldn’t talk properly.
And this article is the result of it, as I observed the things which happen after you get a sickness which makes speaking pretty painful.
First, the obvious thing: speaking is very painful.
And yet, other people can’t seem to recognize it. they’ll still talk to you, and often pester you for response, while fully aware of the problem.
No amount of requesting would stop them, as they would just forget everything under a minute.
Second, you think that your voice sounds awesome. (Only sometimes.)
I say this, mostly because when I suffer a cold or a throat infection, I sound like Accelerator from A Certain Magical Index, more specifically, his English voice.
Though it should be noted that it only happens when the infection has healed a bit. Otherwise, I sound like a badly programmed robot. (Incidentally, my friends have told me that I sound like a robot over the phone.)
Third, it gives you a greater appreciation for the voice actors, who end up destroying their throat to voice your favorite characters on the daily bases.
Next, eating and drinking is an ordeal on itself. Yes, I’m sure you guys know that already. But I thought it was necessary to mention here all the same.
Usually, this often comes with a fever. But thankfully, this time, I didn’t have any such thing. But you guise might be wondering: what is the point of writing such a pointless thing? Everyone gets a sore throat every once in a while. (Well, aside from the voice actors, which I already mentioned above.)
The point is, when you can’t talk, you’re locked in your head, for the lack of a better term. You can’t communicate your thoughts with others, and often, your brain runs wild.
So yeah, that was the point. I know this is a rather short post. But I do hope you guys like it all the same.

Aw sorry to hear about your throat infection. They can make a person very miserable. I usually sound like a guy when that happens. I feel very authoritative.

My will to talk dies when that happens.

During this season? I’d probably think I have the ‘rona. Glad you didn’t have it though. But that’s definitely the first thing that comes to mind. And yes, every time I get a sore throat, the next thought is ‘Will I get a fever?’
Good to hear all’s good!

I wrote that article after my sister’s wedding. I talked and screamed too much during that time (Because of music,) and I suffered the consequences.
